Job Sites

Welcome to the CIS Job Site page.  This page displays some of our recent “Job Site” locations.  We are very proud of our employees and the calibre work they perform for our customers.  We hope that you will take the time to peruse through each location.  CIS is a multi-talented organization, with a broad range of project capabilities.  Each location is represented by an “Image Tour”, displaying the several stages of each project.

Stemnion

CIS was selected by Business Interiors for the initial installation of the new Allsteel Stride product line at Stemnion, Pittsburgh, PA.  Working closely with Business Interiors Account Executive Maureen Malick and Designer Erica Wetzel, another first class installation was achieved.

Continental / Herman Miller

In one of the greatest achievements in company history, CIS received, staged, and installed 183 “Herman Miller Vivo” workstations over the 2009 Thanksgiving Holiday.  In order to accommodate the customer’s schedule, CIS employees worked all three shifts – “around the clock”, until completion.  CIS finished this project “On Time, Within Budget, and As Designed!”  CIS president, Jim Graf credits the success of this job to having employees with great attitudes, superior skills, and devotion to CIS.  The workers knew the commitment made to customer and supported management with unquestionable work ethics.  Our success was also achieved by the help of “Continental Office Environment of Pittsburgh” (Herman Miller dealership).  We would like to thank them for their project management, support, and unwavering trust.  Below are a few photographs of this project.

Western PA Conservancy

Everyone talks green , but not everyone delivers on the commitment quite like the folks from the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. When it came to furnishing their beautiful new offices WPC made a philosophical decision to use as much recycled and previously used furniture as possible. Working closely with WPC project manager Kara Wienand and the talented staff at Pffafman & Associates Architects , CIS secured a full donation from a major corporate donor of over (50) Steelcase workstations. Frankly, finding the workstations was the easy part.

The CIS team then had to make certain that the workstation components would properly fit in the new space. Additionally all electrical raceways had to be updated, and of course the office cubicles had to be carefully dissembled, transported, and re-installed without any damage. When it was all said and done, WPC met every one of their project objectives including a cost savings of nearly $200,000!

Youngstown State University Stadium

Though we are known as CIS office installers, we actually do a lot more than that. For years, CIS has been certified in the trade of auditorium seating  installation; however, we had never handled an outdoor sport stadium…until now! Neither rain, sleet, nor snow could prevent an expert crew of CIS installers, led by Jimmy Gilmore, from replacing nearly 2000 seats at the Youngstown State University Football Stadium.  Working closely with Frank Turco of Indoff, Inc. and Manufacturer American Seating, CIS completed the job on time, within budget, and as designed.  With new seats now in place, the fans at Youngstown State University can sit in comfort in style.

Penn State University Outreach

CIS was subcontracted by prominent office furniture and supply dealership Nittany Office of State College, PA.  Nittany’s project team of Randy Smith & Sam Stitzer selected CIS because of their resources and experience with major projects.  CIS field supervisor Keith Tygielski has led an efficient team of CIS installers, charged with receiving, staging and installing over 300 Allsteel workstations in less than four weeks.  That’s fast track!

Allsteel, Nittany Office, and CIS Office Installers have joined forces to deliver a first class quality project for their client Penn State Outreach.   See photos below.

GSA Veteran’s Administration Project

The photos below represent just a small portion of the responsibilities that CIS was assigned for the brand new GSA Veteran’s Administration Office and Patient Care Facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Led by CIS project managers Jim Gilmore and Jerry Hatok, the CIS team installed (90) patient rooms, (which included beds, dressers, mirrors, night stands , and accessories), (287) office workstations, hundreds of wall mounted pieces of art, (including a ceiling hung mobile which was forty five feet off the ground), along with all of the common area furnishings and shelving. This five month installation showcased the depth and skills of the CIS field staff.
